John Rogers has a private practice of law in Glasgow. He is a Barren County native and is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky College of Law. John has been active in civic affairs and served as Chair of the Legislative Committee of the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce for several years and is a member of the Glasgow Rotary Club.

He has served as Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for the 43rd Judicial Circuit, president of the Barren County Bar Association and has served as legal counsel for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. He also has served on the board of the Kentucky Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Kentucky Bar Association; the Board of Directors of Cumberland Trace Legal Services; and the Barren County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is also admitted to practice in state court in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Additionally, John served for nearly 5 years as Chairman of the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance, the state's top campaign finance regulator.

While in college, John worked for the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission, the Kentucky Attorney General and the United States Senate Commerce Committee. After law school, John served as a legal counsel to the Governor of Kentucky. He is a life long member of the First Christian Church in Glasgow and an Elder there. John is married to LaDonna Guinn Rogers and they have three children -- Guinn and Katherine, age 16, and a son, John Thomas, age 14.

John is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
